Official: Spain Willing to Invest in Iran's Mining, Industry Sectors
(Minews)- Chairman of Spain's International Society of Contractors (Ceoe) Jose Garcia Morales voiced the willingness of Spanish companies, specially those active in the field of mining and mining industries, to invest in Iran's development projects.

Garcia Morales made the remarks in a meeting with Head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) Mehdi Karbasiyan in Tehran on Monday.

"We can pave the grounds for the further cooperation between Ceoe and IMIDRO," Garcia Morales said.

Karbasiyan, for his part, said that IMIDRO is ready to attract foreign investors in all the areas of exploration, exploitation and processing of minerals.

Iran and Spain have enjoyed amicable ties for centuries based on mutual understanding.
In April, Iranian Ambassador to Spain Mohammad Hassan Fadaei Fard and Spain’s Foreign Ministry Director General for Protocol Affairs Jose Maria Rodriguez explored new avenues for the consolidation of all-out ties between Tehran and Madrid.

Speaking at the meeting in the Spanish capital at the time, Fadaei Fard expressed hope that important steps would be taken in line with expansion of ties between the two friendly nations during his tenure in Madrid.

Rodriguez, for his part, said mutual relations are in an appropriate level and underlined continuation of efforts of officials from both countries to expand bilateral ties.

The Spanish official also said Foreign Ministry and other state bodies in Spain are ready to cooperate with Iran’s new ambassador to fulfill its duties.
